According to research published in Cell, the ability of immune cells to fight inflammation can be increased twofold when proteins and antioxidants are combined.

Daily coffee consumption is an effective way to reduce inflammation in the body because it is rich in antioxidants known as polyphenols. Inflammation is a part of the body's immune system that identifies and eliminates external interference and initiates the process.

On the other hand, chronic inflammation is regarded as a leading risk factor for diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and rheumatoid arthritis.

New research shows that consuming food rich in polyphenols, along with foods rich in amino acids (the building block of protein), makes antioxidants more effective in reducing inflammation. because polyphenols interact with other molecules, such as amino acids, little research has been conducted in this regard. To determine this, researchers at the University of Copenhagen subjected immune cells to artificial inflammation.

some cells were administered different doses of polyphenols and amino acids (such as coffee with milk), while others were administered only polyphenols (such as black coffee). The control group was not provided any food.

This study found that immune cells that received a combination of the two ingredients to reduce inflammation had significantly less inflammation than those that received a diet containing only polyphenols.

In a study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, researchers reported that a combination of proteins and antioxidants doubled the anti-inflammatory properties of immune cells.

The researchers said the results of this study suggest that drinking coffee along with ilk has anti-inflammatory effects. Milk is rich in proteins and contains all nine essential amino acids for humans.

The head of the research, Professor Marianne Nissen, said that the matter would be looked at in more depth by researching animals.

However, excessive consumption of coffee with milk can also have negative effects, such as increased calorie intake or digestive problems in some people. It is important to consider individual factors and to consume coffee with milk in moderation.
